Mobile Clinic

Dove Mobile Clinic began bringing needed sickle cell care services to the door steps of the affected in the rural communities of Cameroon’s North West region in August 2014. The service was developed in response to a request from those receiving sickle cell services from FJK but who could no longer afford the long distances from their homes. Endorsed by the Honorable Minister of Public Health, an average of 30 families are per service-trip are served. Mobile team is expected to make monthly and on-demand trips to the targeted is collected which will fill some of the gaps required to assess the extent and burden of the disease in the region.
